Valhalla Tours offers a unique boat tour experience in Townsville, departing and returning from the TMBYC in South Townsville. Enjoy a cruise with stunning views of Magnetic Island and Townsville city without the hassle of crossing to Magnetic Island on the barge. Savor a fresh seafood platter and refreshing drinks, or bring your own onboard. Weather permitting, we offer a maximum of 10 passengers an intimate and relaxing adventure with enclosed saloon or open deck seating options.
The cruiser has a fully operational galley, separate head with BBQ options and cool room storage. We can accommodate parties and functions with catering food storage ready. We also have a serviceable tender and dive board with ladder and hot deck shower for swimming and snorkeling.

The boat tour begins in Townsville City and heads towards Florence Bay. Upon leaving the harbor, there is an impressive view of Magnetic Island. The sun reflects off the turquoise waters as the boat cruises along past the island's large bays and pristine beaches.
Magnetic Island is renowned for its stunning natural beauty. During the journey, dense eucalyptus and pine forests and rocky outcrops rising majestically above the beaches. The beaches passed by are picturesque and inviting, with fine golden sand and crystal-clear water.
Due to the constant movement of the sea and to ensure a comfortable tour, there were no long stops made at any of the beautiful beaches. Instead, the boat continues cruising along the coast.
The entire tour is marked by the natural splendor of Magnetic Island and the tranquil, idyllic setting. It offers a day filled with breathtaking views and peaceful moments, bringing the incredible nature of Australia closer.

For 25 years, I've had the pleasure of living next door to the yacht club, always dreaming of sharing the best moments of the day with people from all around the world. Today, I am thrilled to announce that this dream has finally become a reality. I now have the incredible opportunity to work with the Australian Coastguard as a valued White Card holder and member of their assist team. In addition, I am excited to offer bay cruises to anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of our ever-changing bay.
I can't wait to embark on this new journey and share these wonderful experiences with you.

Valhalla History
Valhalla, built in Brisbane in 1954 by Hugh Morris Ship Builders, was designed specifically for cruising, surrounded by quality furnishings and classic design. In 2024, Valhalla was surveyed in Townsville and passed with accreditation as a highly maintained and serviceable vessel.
Equipped with the latest technology and safety equipment, we invite you to join us for short cruises around Townsville. Come experience the charm and elegance of Valhalla on the beautiful waters of our bay.
Even down to the authentic ship's clock, built by Waterbury in the USA, Valhalla exudes authenticity. The clock sounds the full ship bells, starting at midnight and sounding 1 bell on the half hour, gradually increasing to eventually ring 8 bells at 4 am, and then starting again. These bells, traditionally used in shipping, serve as a notification of time for those on watch.
